Description
An intelligent undead humanoid. They vary greatly in powers and get stronger as they age. Vampires often use magic, although some wield weapons. Their bite drains blood (and life) and some victims killed in this way become vampire spawns. Vampires can turn into a mist at will (0 segments to turn into mist, 5 segments to reform). They regenerate except for physical sphere magic damage and dislike direct sunlight. Cumulative damage to their head or chest that reduces that body location to zero HP prevents them from turning into mist.
Tactics
They will use others (vampire spawns, hirelings, civilians) to maximum benefit. Self preservation is critical, they live a long time and can be patient. Their magic often revolves around mental (mind control) and necromancy.
